LOWE, Mrs. Nora Lee - age 75, passed away, Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at St Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family Hour 10:30AM Friday, June 3, 2016 at Monument of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 378 Auburn Avenue with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Pastor James Keys, Sr., Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30 AM Friday. Mrs. Lowe will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday. Mrs. Nora Lee Lowe was October 7, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Clementine Williams and Arcell Williams. She was the oldest daughter to Clementine and Arcell Williams. She attended Carver High School. She soon after met and married Leroy Jackson and gave birth to Betty Jackson in 1960. Nora migrated to Pontiac in 1964, where she met and married Charles Lowe and the two remained married for over forty strong years. Once coming to Pontiac, she worked at Fiat-Chrysler Automotive Company and drove school buses for the City of Pontiac in 1971. Nora soon gained the confidence in becoming an entrepreneur and opened the doors to the Lowes’s Resale Shop, which satisfied her passion for antiques and housewares for over thirty years. She enjoyed gardening and entertaining guest at her home. Her home served the community and was also the site of many family functions. Mrs. Lowe leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Charles Lowe Sr. of Pontiac, MI; son, Charles Lowe Jr.; step daughter, Charline Lowe; grandchildren, Andrea Jackson, Joanie Jackson, Robin Adams, Norall Jackson, Melissa Jackson, Jasmine Jackson, JuJuan Hollis-Lowe; great grandchildren, Asia Jackson, Taveon Jackson, Tamesha Willis, Tiara Harris, Elijah Jackson, Amir Lewis; mother, Clementine Williams; three siblings; George (Nadine) Williams, Shirley (Jean) Williams, Merley (Marie) Williams, Linda Carter-Williams, Paulette Williams, Andre (Dorothy) Williams and Midget Williams; nieces, Tracy Dunlap, Collette Dunlap, Elaine Gallaway, Shelia Williams, Christine Williams; nephews, Gregory Dunlap, Ricky Dunlap, Gary Dunlap, Derrick Williams, Craig Williams, Tony Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jackson; father, Arcell Williams; sisters, Betty Jo Williams and Joania Pearl Dunlap; brother, Pete Williams.
