JACKSON, Ms. Amanda Christine "Manda" - Age 19, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Doctors Hospital of Michigan formerly North Oakland Medical Center. Family hour 1:30p.m. Friday, March 27, 2009 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2p.m. Pastor Milton Jackson, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30p.m. Friday. Ms. Jackson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2-7p.m. Thursday. Amanda Christina Jackson was born November 24, 1989 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of LaVoria Triplett and Eddy G. Williams. It is said that "It Takes A Village To Raise A Child," and Amanda received the help that was necessary to bring her to maturity. She attended schools in Pontiac, Farmington Hills, Monroe, MI and Lexington, KY where she graduated from Bryant Station High School. She also attended Job Corp of Kentucky where she was certified in Culinary Arts. Having Parents in ministry, going to church for her was never an option. She faithfully attended The Church of God In Jesus Name in Lexington, KY as well as Christ Temple in Pontiac, MI as her health permitted. For a short while, she was employed at Lee’s Famous Chicken and White Castle in Lexington, KY. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and traveling. In her spare time she watched cooking programs and court shows. Ms. Jackson leaves to cherish her memory: biological mother, LaVoria Triplett of Pontiac, MI; adoptive parents, Radell (Ann) Freeman of Lexington, KY; grandfather, Willie B. Triplett; grandmother, Willie Mae Lewis; grandparents, Willie (Ida) Elam of Pontiac, MI; four sisters, Emanuela "Lovey" Jackson of Lexington, KY, Yvonne Jackson-Skinner, Sherry Jackson-Lyles and Cyntina Boman-Jackson all of Monroe, MI; four brothers, Christopher S. Jackson of Lexington, KY, Milton L. Jackson II, Benson D. Jackson both of Monroe, MI, Dorian D. Jackson of Inkster, MI; four nieces, Sarah, Victoria, Selena Jackson and Layah Lyles all of Monroe, MI; six nephews, Milton Jackson, Anthony Skinner, Brandon Jackson and Jeremiah Skinner all of Monroe, MI, Emanuel and Donovan Jackson both of Lexington, KY; aunt, Sophia Triplett of Pontiac, MI; cousins, Miya Triplett, Deshone Elam and Christina Moss all of Pontiac, MI; two sisters-in-law, Catherina Jackson of Monroe, MI and Deanna Jackson of Inkster, MI; two brothers-in-law, Anthony Skinner and Robert Lyles both of Monroe, MI a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Amanda Jackson was preceded in death by her biological father, Eddy G. Williams; adopted father, Bishop Milton Jackson and grandmother, Lucy Triplett.
