Johnson, Mr. Charles Jerome "Junior" Jr. – age 72, passed away, Monday, April 20, 2020 at Ascension St. John Hospital – Oakland Campus. Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Johnson Memorial Church of God In Christ, 252 Wesson Street. Supt. Charles Johnson, III, Officiating. Elder Courtney Drew, Pastor. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and Pallbearers will assemble at the Church 11:00 AM Tuesday. Mr. Johnson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12 Noon - 6:00 PM Monday. Mr. Johnson leaves to cherish his memory: children, Dana (Donald) Thomas, Surae Johnson, Pastor Charles (Kelli) Johnson, III, Trina (Nolan) Johnson, Charlotte (Pastor LaMarcus) Keels, Clifton (Veronica) Johnson, Braelon Johnson and Donovan Johnson; seventeen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; siblings, Mother Lenora (Robert) Cureton, Mother Dianne Bogan, Brenda Watkins, Patricia Johnson, Clarence (Marcy) Johnson and Clarice Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his grandson, Charles Johnson, IV; parents, Bishop Charles and Mother Lillian Johnson; grandparents, Deacon Clarence and Mother Elnora Keyes; and brother-in-law, Bishop Walter E. The Executive Order is as follows:Acting under the Michigan Constitution of 1963 and Michigan law, I order the following: 1. Beginning on April 10, 2020 at 9:00 am, and continuing through May 15, 2020 at 5:00 pm, all assemblages of more than 10 people in a single indoor shared space and all events of more than 50 people are prohibited in this state. A single indoor shared space includes but is not limited to a room, hall, cafeteria, auditorium, theater, or gallery. The prohibition on assemblages set forth in this section does not apply to: We do understand that this may pose a challenge to you and your family, but our dedicated staff is here to help guide you towards making the best decisions in memorializing your loved one.
