ALLISON, Pastor David Lee - Age 70, passed away Sunday June 12, 2016 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Family Hour 11:00AM Monday, June 20, 2016 at Greater Bibleway Apostolic Temple, 1180 North Perry Street, with funeral service commencing at 12:00 Noon. District Elder James Manns, Host Pastor. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 12:00 Noon Monday. Pastor David Lee Allison will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 10:00AM – 4:00 PM Sunday. On this blessed day June 12, 2016, Family and Friends celebrates the life of a Godly man named David Lee Allison. He was born on January 16, 1946 to the proud parents the late Sarah Allison and the late Nathaniel Corley of Hazelhurst, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Patsy Ruth Minor and Robert Allison; and a loving niece, LaKesha Minor. David received his faith in Christ at an early age joined Clear Creek No. 1 Church of Gallman, Mississippi, he attended Parrish High School of Hazelhurst, Mississippi. Later in life he moved to Pontiac, Michigan where he met the love of his life, Cleo Dowell and together they had three loving sons. When he moved to Pontiac, Michigan he started working for Buddy Landscaping. Later he started working for General Motors where he retired. Elder Allison was baptized in Jesus name at Bibley Apostolic Faith Church under the pastorate of the late Elder George Johnson in 1972. He found Christ yet again and began preaching as Elder David Lee Allison of the New Liberty Apostolic Church in Pontiac, Michigan until his health began failing. Elder Allison leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife, Cleo Allison; three loving sons, David Allison, Jeffrey Allison both of Pontiac, MI and Roderick Allison of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Jeffrey B. Allison, Jr., Jasmine L. Allison and Jada Allison; great grandchildren, Kaidyn Scott, Kody Scott, Donovan Scott, Jr and Aubrey Townsend; sister, Jacqueline (Franklin) Hood of Hazelhurst, MS; four nephews, Ray (Lillian) Minor, Jeffrey Minor, Roderick (Tanya) Minor and Terrance Hood all of Hazelhurst, MS; four nieces, Cynthia Minor, Juanecia (Javeus) Boyd, LeKendria Hood all of Hazelhurst, MS, Shimeka (Keeshan) Lowe of Jackson, MS; and host of great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends including dear and special cousins, Willie Joe, Geraldine and Billy Foote all of Flint, MI.
