DOOLEY, Mr. Durmaine "Popcorn" - age 42, passed away, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center of Canton Ohio. Family Hour 1:30PM Friday, June 17, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing at 2:00PM. Pastor Earl O. Crump, Officiating. Family and Friends will assemble at the church 1:30 PM Friday. Mr. Dooley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from Noon - 8:00 PM Thursday. Durmaine Terrance Dooley affectionately call “Popcorn” or simply “Corn” was born on March 3, 1974 to April Dooley and the late Ronald Faulkner. Durmaine was educated in the Pontiac Schools system and later obtained his GED, along with a certificate in building trades. Durmaine enjoyed spending time with family and friends, while sharing an infectious smile that would light up any room. Pop enjoyed life; this was displayed through his love of shopping. He could shop for hours especially when shopping for shoes, he loved his shoes, and dressing in fine clothes. Playing basketball was how he spent many hours in between the grind and hustling. One thing that many people were not aware of was his love and compassion he had for drawing. Corn would spend countless hours creating abstract designs. Durmaine was introduced to Jesus Christ early in life, and continued that friendship; this was exemplified through his attendance at the Nation of Islam. He was called Durmaine X constantly going to services to learn more each day. Pop understood God’s power, love and the fact that nothing ever takes God by surprise. Durmaine will be missed, yet he leaves memories that many will cherish. His love will be ever present in our hearts when we find ourselves laughing out loud being reminded of the moments that were shared. Durmaine memories will be cherished by his mother, April Dooley; sisters, Karvenia Dooley, Jade Dooley Floyd, LaDonna Kornegay –Bey and Sharonda Faulkner; brothers Ryan Faulkner, Jon Faulkner, and John Wellons; four nieces; six nephews; uncles, James Dooley (Janice) Robert Dooley, and Lewis Faulkner; aunts, Blondina Walker and Jennifer Dooley; Adolph Kornegay – Bey held a special place in “Popcorn” s life along with many loving relatives and friends that were considered family. Durmaine was proceeded in death by his father, Ronald Faulkner; grandparents, Annie Dooley, James Dooley, and Ruby Faulkner; uncle, John Eric Dooley.
