DIXON-HARDY, Mrs. Emmer Jean "Nat" - Age 75, passed away Thursday December 23, 2021 at McLaren Oakland Hospital. 1:00PM Graveside Service Monday, January 10, 2021 at Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Pastor Al James Terrell, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the cemetery 1:00PM Monday. Mrs. Hardy will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, and may be viewed from 10AM-4PM Sunday. She made her transition to be with the Lord on December 23, 2021. In her early years, she moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a child where she completed her education. Post graduation, she attended Southern University. She accepted Christ at a early age, confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior and had a desire to always read and study the Word of God. She later married Lawrence Hardy. As a resident in Pontiac, MI, she was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Al J. Terrell. Emmer was employed at U.S. Farathane Industry in Auburn Hills, MI. She enjoyed shopping, cooking and socializing with her friends. Because of her outgoing and charismatic personality, she was known and loved by everyone she met. Emmer leaves to cherish her memories to her only child, Lolita Dixon of Austell, Georgia. A special friend, Margaret Albert of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and a host of other relatives and friends. Emmer was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Hilliard; Her loving and devoted grandparents, Alice and Knight Dixon; and five aunts and one uncle. The family of Emmer D. Hardy would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers during our time of bereavement. May God bless and sustain each of you.
