SARTIN, Ms. Ethel J "E.J." - age 65, passed away, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at St Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family hour 11:300AM Monday, June 22, 2015 at Bray Temple CME Church, 46 North Roselawn, with funeral service commencing immediately at 12noon. Family and friends will assemble at the church 11:30 AM Monday. Mrs. Sartin will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 10:00AM-4:00PM Sunday. Ethel Jane Terry Sartin, born May 6, 1950, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Annis and James Terry. She departed this life on June 14, 2015, at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital. Ethel received her education in the Pontiac School System, graduating from Pontiac Central High School. She continued her education at Oakland Community College. She worked for the Cranbrook School for over 30 years. Ethel accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of Greater Mount Calvary Church under the Rev. Roger Jackson. Detra “DeeDee” Necole Sartin was born to Ethel Jane Terry Sartin in 1973. Ethel was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She doted on her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. On Sunday, June 14, 2015, at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital, she answered the call when she heard our Lord and Savior quietly call her name. She was preceded in death by her parents, Annis and James Terry, and her sister, Brenda Sue Terry. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Detra Necole Sartin (Adrian Trimble); her grandchildren, Adrianne Necole Trimble, Ayanna Trenay Trimble, Ethan Marcel l Trimble, Darrell Anthony Trimble, Andre James Trimble, and Desmond Tyler Trimble; great granddaughters, Brooklyn Necole Moore and Londynn Dior Marie Moore. She also leaves to treasure her memory: loving brothers, Andrew Terry (Thelma), Stanley Terry, Darrell Terry (Jevita), Todd, Terry (Deborah); and a host of loving friends. She was loved by many. Her joyous smile will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews: Dana Terry, Jason Terry, Brian Terry (Tori), Candis Terry, Tamara Terry, Daphne Terry, Marcia Terry, Tiffani Taylor, Todd Terry, Jr., Ariel Walker, Branden Terry and Devin Terry and a host of great nieces/nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.
