MORRIS, Mr. Isaac "Ike" "Zeke" - Age 42, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2011 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family hour 1:00PM Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM Bishop Lorenzo Turner, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:00PM Tuesday. Mr. Morris will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12 Noon-8PM Monday. Isaac Morris was born April 10, 1969 in Pontiac, MI the son of Shirley Shell and the late Isadore Morris, the first son of this union. Isaac resided in Pontiac, MI. Mr. Morris was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God; where he was baptized in the name of Jesus at an early age. He graduated from Pontiac Central High School in 1987. Isaac was a jack of all trades, he held several positions, working for Concorde Inn, Akzo Nobel for over seven years and he also worked for the Pontiac School District. His hobbies in his early years were assembling model cars. Later he developed an interest in carpentry, household maintenance, general assembling of all types of furnishings and any other speciality services. Isaac was affectionately known as "Bird", "Zeke" and "Ike". Isaac was the one who everyone called on, he was our go to guy. Isaac always had a smile for you and his love for his family was impeccable. He never refused to assist. Mr. Morris leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife and friend, Jane E. Morris, where they lived in Pontiac, MI, together for 19 years; daughters, Janay, Isjauana and Shaletha all of Pontiac; mother, Shirley Shell; sisters, CaSandra (Michael) McDonald; Zenora Broome (George Harris) Verlinda (Herbert) Green all of Pontiac, MI; brothers, James L. Broome of Pontiac; Ivan L. Morris of Columbia, TN; and Tracey Stewart of Kentwood, LA; mother in law; Ms. Loretta Traylor of Pontiac, MI; uncles; Frank (Daythal) Morris and Joe (Limmie) Morris all of Pontiac and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends including special friends, Derrick and Deon Webber, Patrick Eason and Sylvester Stevens. The family wishes to express special thanks to Linda Brinker, Debra Colburn, Janice Seay, Lisa Quinones, Trece Allen, Tiffany Keys, Gail Rodgers, Sandergetta Bell, Bishop Williamson, Bishop William and Michael Duren and all the Pentecostal Saints of God for their divine guidance, love and prayers.
