Jerome "Twin" Phillips

PHILLIPS, Mr. Jerome Eric "Twin" - Age 52, passed away Thursday October 6, 2011 at his residence. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, October 22, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor Douglas P. Jones, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Saturday. Mr. Phillips will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 3-8PM Friday. Mr. Jerome Eric "Twin" Phillips, Sr. was born June 16, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Marjorie Phillips. At an Early age, Jerome and James came with their mother and relocated to Pontiac, MI where he was raised and eventually graduated from Pontiac Central High School, Class of 1977. From there, Jerome attended Oakland University where he majored in Business Management and Political Science. Shortly after, he worked for ten years at General Motors. His true passion was carpentry. He was a master carpenter and could design and build a house from scratch. His eye for detail was second to none. Jerome was also an artist, his creativity was shown in every work his hands created. He was an intellectual, studying everything from Law to Science and continually educating himself. Jerome was a very Spiritual man who knew God and strived to further his relationship with Him. There were many scriptures he knew and loved, one of his favorites being the 91st Psalm. Mr. Phillips leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Tiffany Willingham of Orion Township, MI; sons, Jerome Phillips, Jr of Pontiac, MI and Aaron Hallowell of Oxford, MI; grand daughters, Kamiya Willingham of Orion Township, MI and Jada Hallowell of Oxford, MI; mother, Marjorie Phillips of WI; brothers, James "Twin" Phillips of Pontiac, MI, Roosevelt "Pee Wee" Ginger Jr. of WI; sisters, Angie Phillips of Brooklyn, NY, Bobbie Jean and Terri Mason both of WI; Carol A. Chavez; special friends, Michelle Hallowell of Oxford, MI and Sophia Willingham of Pontiac, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family members. The family wishes to express its sincerest gratitude to Pastor Douglas P.
