GAMBLE, Mr. Joseph "Jo Jo" - Age 53, passed away Sunday February 27, 2011 at Bortz Health Care in Lake Orion, Michigan. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday March 5, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Rev. Allen Gulley, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Saturday. Mr. Gamble will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1-8PM Friday. Mr. Joseph Dale Gamble was born March 24, 1957 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of the late Edith Jones and William Gamble. Joseph was raised in Pontiac, MI. Joseph was educated through the Pontiac School District, he then continued his education further at Oakland University. In 1976, Joseph was employed by General Motors until 1984. In January of 1981, he met his loving wife of over thirty years. Joseph’s favorite hobbies were playing the saxophone, watching television and cooking. He was a great musician. He enjoyed taking trips with his family, taking care of his children, But most of all he loved life. He was a fun and outgoing person and well spoken. He was loved dearly. Mr. Joseph Dale Gamble leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife, Davina Gamble of Pontiac, MI; five children, Amena Green, Joseph Green, Jaclyn Green, Adyia Gamble and Dyonta Joseph; four grandchildren, Khaaliq Thomas, Hanifah Abrams, Cincere Martinez and Donovan Green-Jackson; father, William Gamble; grandparents, Olivia Jones and Henry Jones; two sisters, Gloria McConner and Sherri Marie Wilson; one brother, Henry Hank-Gamble; mother-in-law, Vinetta Green; one sister-in-law, Jonice Green; two brothers-in-law, Dale Green and Ramattubadahotep McConner; and a host of other family and friends including special friends, Anthony White, Johnny Borders, Charles Gamble, Dr. Michael Herron and Quincy Stewart. Mr. Joseph Dale Gamble was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Jones; sister, Faith Toulouse; uncle, Hank Jones; and father-in-law, James Green. The family would like to express a special thanks to everyone who knew Joe as a friend, father, husband and brother. We as a family would like to say thank you.
