Larnell Green

GREEN, Mr. Larnell - age 63, passed away, Wednesday, July 27, 2016. Family Hour 10:30 AM Saturday, August 6, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00 AM. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 11:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Green will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St. and may be viewed from 1:00 PM - 8:00PM Friday. Mr. Larnell Green was born May 17, 1953 to Charlina “Chicken” Lyons and Johnny “Buddy” Green in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was called home on July 27, 2016. Larnell moved to Michigan with his family and accepted Christ at an early age. He received his education in Pontiac, Michigan and later moved to Detroit, Michigan to further his education in Nursing. He soon began working at the Ambassador Nursing Facility. He would later move back to Pontiac, and begin working for the City of Pontiac, General Motors Corporation and Bortz Health Care. Larnell got married to Marlene Soloway in June of 1992. Larnell was loveable with a vibrant spirit. He loved his music, dancing, wearing nice clothing and especially his baseball caps. He had a thing with giving people them nicknames never calling them by their real name. Mr. Green leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Marlene Soloway; two sons; four sisters, Veda “Verda” James, Charyl “CC” Robertson, Willie Keller and Gloria Bouie; one brother, Eric (Paulette) Brimm; aunt, Geraldine Allen; nineteen nieces; twenty-one nephews; sixteen cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Barbara Causey, Tonique Causey, Morris DaWayne Zachery of Detroit, MI, Willie Hollins and Jackie Buckhannon. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Charlina (Leroy) Lyons and Johnny Green; six sisters, Sybil Green, Janice Green, Brenda Green, Diane Brown, Johnny Foster and Jacqueline Curry; brothers, Robert James, Jerry Green, Johnny Green III, and Albert Jackson.
