ADAMS, Mr. Larry Lee - Age 61, passed away Monday October 24, 2011 at his residence. Family hour 1:30PM Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2PM. Pastor Maurice Stimage, Jr, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 1:30PM Wednesday. Mr. Adams will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Tuesday. Mr. Adams leaves to cherish his memory: son, Marvin (Rita) Adams of Pontiac, MI; step daughter, Tonecia Fuller of Warren, MI; grandchildren, Martese Borndes, Martesha Adams, Shiteka Kyles, Anderia McClain, Anderio and Aleecia Adams, Roderick Jr. Mariah and Daniel Wiley all from Pontiac, MI; great grandchildren, Ta’Niyja Kyles and Za’Marion James; mother, Carrie Adams; sisters, L. T. Finney of Dallas, TX, Norma Peoples and Linda Adams both of Pontiac, MI; brother, Anthony Adams of Southfield, MI; ten nieces, fifteen great nieces, twelve nephews, seven great nephews; aunts, Annie Davis of Chicago, IL and Zeola Adams of Pontiac, MI; a host of cousins; sister-in-law, Sandra Adams; and a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, Jeff Harsten of Pontiac. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his father, Alonzo Adams; sisters, Gwendolyn Adams, Odessa Griffin; nephew, Myron Peoples; grandmothers, Lillie Bright, Aslene Adams; uncle, Edward Adams. The family would like to express special thanks to Nicks Coney Island, Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Hopewell Baptist Church, Rev. Maurice Stimage, Jr and all who made contributions.Mr. Larry Lee Adams was born September 10, 1950 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Carrie Adams and the late Alonzo Adams. Larry confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Reverend Walter Rowe at Antioch Baptist Church. He attended Pontiac Schools and was an avid sports enthusiaist with an emphasis in track and field. His life work was with various restaurants as a chef. His last employer was Nicks Coney Island in Pontiac. Larry’s heart was big. Never complaining, even when he wasn’t feeling well. He loved everyone, especially his family, with a very, very special love for his mom. Larry cared for his mom on a daily basis, always by her side. He also loved his grandchildren always wanting to know that they were on the right track.
