CRAWFORD, Mr. Laval Jr. - Age 17, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2008 at his residence. Family hour 1:00p.m. Friday, September 19, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 2p.m. Minister Danny Williamson, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 1:00p.m. Friday. Mr. Crawford will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 3-8p.m. Thursday. Laval Anthony Crawford Jr. was born February 19, 1991 in Pontiac, Michigan, the son of Kanesia Gage and Laval Anthony Crawford Sr., Laval was born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan. He was a former student of Avondale Academy, while there he excelled in math. Although he was not one to out right say, “I Love You,” Laval was a very loving son, brother, uncle and friend that dedicated his time to those he loved the most. Music was his dearest hobby. He always wanted to be a star. Every moment of his free time was used to put forth effort in promoting, “Hood Wide Entertainment.” Music Studios were like a second home for him. He loved attention. Laval always said, “Keep it real,” and he always did keep it one hundred, it was only natural for him. Laval Anthony Crawford Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: parents, Kanesia Gage and Laval Crawford Sr.; step-father, Willie Gage Jr.; grandparents, Charles (Dorinda) Kaigler, Daisy (Ernest) Crawford, Sr.; great-grandparents, Lavern Crawford, Catherine Beeman; four sisters, Christina Pryor, Robin Bell, Qudaisha Calwell, Jalisa Gage; one brother, Robert “Boosha” Bell; three nieces, Sanyia, Ma’Kenzie, Mariah; one nephew, Brandon Jr.; one aunt, Evita Kaigler; two uncles, Ernest (Ginnie), Andre (Suzy); five cousins, Andre Jr., DeShawn, DeAndre, Alyssa, Alexis; a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, La’Shel McCray, T2, D-Money, TT, Flip, Kapes, Peanut. Laval Anthony Crawford Jr. was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Mary Pryor; two uncles, Ivan Rowls, Carlos Kaigler.
