Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00 AM. Interment Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery, Montgomery, Alabama Zip 36108. Phone (334) 262-3899 Fax (334) 262-3898. Mr. Leroy Burton Sr. was born July 18, 1961 in Montgomery, Alabama, the son of James and Mary Burton. Leroy was born and raised and Montgomery, Alabama. He later moved to Pontiac, Michigan were he met and fell in love with his life Vanessa Gamble-Burton. Shortly after that they welcomed their only son, Leroy Burton Jr. He also had five stepdaughters, Tracey (Dorqueice) Ellis, Latisha (Thurman) Randolph, Shadanna Copeland, Nicole Copeland, Precious Gamble. Leroy began attending New Experience Church of Christ. He was a retired contractor who enjoyed building and remodeling different projects. Leroy enjoyed remodeling homes for family and friends, music and collecting valuables and fixing them up. He was educated at Sidney Lanier High School, which included being on the JROTC Program. Mr. Burton leaves to cherish in his memory: wife, Vanessa Burton; children, Leroy Burton, Jr., Tracy (Quincy) Ellis, Latisha Raychon (Thurman) Randolph II, Shadanna and Nicole Copeland and Precious Gamble; eleven grandchildren, Trinity Scott, Jacob Scott, Ahjanay Dooley, Shamiya Wade, Dorqueice Ellis Jr., Tramayne Jefferson, Keyon Fleming Jr., Kyrin Fleming, Kyla Fleming, Deavion Glenn Trineice Ellis; father, James Burton, Sr; siblings, James (Lelia) Burton Jr. of Montgomery, AL, Eldred “E.C.” (Lizzie) Burton of Montgomery, AL, Henry Burton of Montgomery, AL, Doris (Carl) Cooley of Montgomery, AL, Evelyn Lyle of Montgomery, AL, Marilyn (Lucious) Wells of Pontiac, MI and Edith (Charles) Gregory of Anniston, AL; ten nieces and nephews; three aunts; mother-in-law, Beatrice T.
