POTTS, Mr. Leslie Earl "Bo Pete" - age 45, passed away, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at McLaren Oakland. Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, July 27, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Pastor Roger L. Jackson, officiating Minister Jamar Pittman, Eulogist. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Saturday. Mr. Potts will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 3PM-8PM Friday. Mr. Leslie Earl “Bo-Pete” Potts was born November 28, 1967 in Pontiac, Michigan, at Pontiac General Hospital the son of Henrietta and Robert E. Potts. Mr. Potts was a resident of Pontiac, Michigan. He was a graduate of Pontiac Central High School. He regularly attended Door of Faith Christian Church. Leslie was a former employee of the Oakland Press, Oakland University and a landscaping company owned by private owners. Leslie’s hobbies were biking, being very handy, painting and reading the scriptures. He was a wonderful and loving son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Leslie had much love for his family, and he really enjoyed and loved family gatherings and going to church to worship God! Mr. Potts leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, LaToya Puckett; sisters, Lisa M. Potts, Selma and Dorothea Davis, Karen (Quarles), Karla (Luster) and Xavia Potts-Jones; brothers, Darrell “Duck” (Jackie) Owens, Percy, Lorenza and Lavon Davis and Robert Potts Jr.; nephews, Chad, Issac “Ike” and Bobbie Bracewell, Jamar Davis-Pittman, “D-Boy”, Karron Louris, Eric II, Terrell and Doerell Hanley, Akeem Hayden and Deon Davis; nieces, Tracy and Tina Bracewell, KiKi, Wakeba Reid, Amber, Larissa “Peaches” Malone, Sherrea Louris, Elmeisha Branner, Ashley Owens, Safia and Sadia Hayden, Linda Shannon; aunts, Leola, Louise and Marita (Babruth)Curry and Maeitta Martin; uncle, LeRoy Barbee; cousins, Lolita James, LeAngela Curry, Shelby Conway, Melissa Bernado, Paula and Lavern Webb, Jimedna Harris, “Bay Bay” Tipton; brother-in-law, Lawrence “Lo” Singleton; and a host great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends including special friends, Sonny Cato, James “Pops” Williams, JuJu, Mr. Lee, John Ed Franklin, Blu, Junie, JoAnn, Fred, Jody, Auburn, Harold and Vonda Ways, Steve Duberry Jr., and Kevin Stimage.
