LEWIS, Mrs. Lillie Mae "Doll Baby" - Age 83, passed away Sunday September 15, 2013 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital. Family hour 10:00AM Saturday September 21, 2013 at Bray Temple CME Church, 46 N. Roselawn St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 10:30AM. Pastor Victoria McKenzie, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00AM Saturday. Mrs. Lewis will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 1-8PM Friday. Mrs. Lillie Mae Lewis was born August 10, 1930 in Wedgeworth, Alabama, the daughter of Oliver and Lillie Burrell. She was a resident of Pontiac, Michigan for fifty years. She was an active member of Bray Temple CME Church, where she served on numerous boards (City Wide Choir Union, Steward, Usher Board etc.) until she was no longer able too. Lillie loved to cook and watch everyone enjoy her food. She also enjoyed watching Whitney Houston perform and the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Pistons play ball. Mrs. Lewis leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Clifton Lewis of Pontiac, MI; two daughters, Barbara Belton and Bridgette (Darryl) Pettit; five sons, Robert (Emma) Howard Jr., Raymond (Phyllis) Howard, Clarence Howard, Kenneth (Kris) Howard, Rodney (Sheila) Howard; seven step children, George, Betty, Severine, Veronica, Clifton Jr., Diane, Deborah and Ladell Lewis; grandchildren, Eddie Mahdi Belton, Raymond (Lora) Howard II, Thomas Howard, Rodney Howard II, Deonte Jenkins, Kandasha Glenn, Mesha Howard, Kenneth Howard II, Jason Howard, Keona Howard, John German, Rashard German, Sean Paul Howard, Clarence Lamont Howard, Angelica Howard, Clarence Howard Jr.; twenty great grandchildren; brother, Clarence (Brenda) Burrell; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends: goddaughter, Terin Antwine and Donna Hill. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her, parents, Oliver and Lillie Burrell; sisters, Mary Little, Annie Terry and Tempie Charles; brother, Oliver Burrell; great granddaughter, Erika Belton; special friend, Thurman Mathus. The family would like to express special thanks to all those who knew and loved her.
