GILMORE, Ms. Ohnnie - age 44, passed away, Thursday, July 28, 2016 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Familyhour 10:30AM Monday August 8, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Bishop Michael T. Martin, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Monday. Ms. Gilmore will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 10AM-4PM Sunday. Ms. Ohnnie Donielle Gilmore was born December 26, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Johnny Mathis and the late Lula Ann Gilmore-Mathis. Ohnnie accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Pontiac Schools where she received her education. Ohnnie was a loving mother, sister, daughter, cousin and friend. She enjoyed singing, cooking, doing hair, helping others and spending time with her children. Ohnnie was a faithful member of Victory Apostolic Church, where she served as an Usher and lifted her voice with the Praise Team. Ms. Gilmore leaves to cherish her memory: her four children, Antwoinette (Genovinci) White, Azure Bey, Martez (Shamone) Gilmore and Mar-Reon Gilmore; three grandchildren, Harmanee “DD” Stover, Za’riya “DD” Gilmore, Mahala “DD” White; father, Johnny Mathis of St. Louis, MO; grandmother, Nellie B. Ford of Pontiac, MI; four sisters, Jo’Ann Gilmore of Detroit, MI, Shantelle Gilmore of AR, Angela (Robert) Watkins of St. Louis, MO and “Best Friend” Shironda Rone of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Harvey Thompson, Wesley Garrett and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins including E.Toy “Pickey” March, Jermaine “Chub” Gilmore, Ha’Myka “Cuz” Ford; and a special aunt, Sarah Phillip. Ms. Gilmore was preceded in death by her daughter, Annastazia Hardin-Gilmore; mother, Lula Ann Gilmore-Mathis; grandfather, Floyd Ford; aunts, Ida Gilmore and Bobbie Nell; uncle, Bobby Gilmore; granddaughter, Deaira Monae “DD” Gilmore. The family would like to express special thanks to Elizabeth Henry and the New Birth International Church.
