NORRIS, Mr. Otis "O.T." - Age 72, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Bortz Health Care in Orion, Michigan. Family hour 10:30AM Wednesday August 27, 2008 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Intement Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Wednesday. Mr. Norris will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 3-8PM Tuesday Otis Norris was born April 6, 1936 in Sondheimer, Louisiana. He was the son of Chatman Norris and Henrietta Norris. He served in the Army. After serving in the Army, he moved to Pontiac, Michigan where he worked for Sandford Arm Housing. Later he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. He returned to Pontiac in 2006. He united with The Holy Cross Apostolic Jesus Only Church. Mr. Otis Norris leaves to cherish his memory: three children, Loretta Goldsmith, Jonathan Goldsmith and Timothy Norris; one god child, Ruenette Evans; four grandchildren, Domonique Goldsmith of Pontiac, MI, RaShad Goldsmith of Pontiac, MI, Jordan Mandrey of Ferndale, MI and Shayla Ackman of Ferndale, MI; two great grandchildren, Briana Hall and Antwan Finklea; three sisters, Eola Boston of Pontiac, MI, Helen Norris of Pontiac, MI and Fannie Young of Pontiac, MI; one brother, Leonard Norris of Las Vegas, Nevada; a host of nieces including one special niece, Dorothy Burns of Las Vegas, Nevada; a host of nephews, cousins, one sister-in-law, Lenora Norris of Las Vegas, Nevada; two brothers-in-law, Joe Young of Pontiac, MI and Thomas Lewis, Sr. of Pontiac MI, a host of other relatives and friends including one special friend Rodezine Payne of Pontiac, MI. Mr. Otis Norris was preceded in death by parents, Chatman and Henrietta Norris; three sisters, Lillie Lewis, Artense Howard and Earnestine Shepard; one brother, Curtis Norris.
