JONES, Deacon Robert Earl - age 56, passed away, Sunday, April 12, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Funeral service 11:00AM Tuesday, April 21, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street. Pr. Randolph Thomas, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Family and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home at 11:00AM. Mr. Jones will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12noon-6:00PM Monday. Deacon Jones is survived by his wife, Marilyn V. Jones; children, Stacey Cartlidge, Robin Jones, David (Kaylon) Cartlidge, Robert Jones, Jr., Tyrece Jones and Travis (Theresa) Cartlidge; grandchildren, Alando, ReSean, Tyrie, Nasir, Tyrece Jr., Noah, Armani, Amari, Dakari, Autumn, Aminah, Theori, Aiden, Averi, Amir, Ja'Kobe, JamesTyrece Jr., Noah, Armani, Amari, Dakari, Autumn, Amina and Syvanna; siblings, Bobby, Donald, Danney and Dedarue; Godchildren, Evonte and Breon; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Deacon Jones is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Patrick; and siblings, Vanessa and Billie. At Lawrence E. Beginning on April 10, 2020 at 9:00 am, and continuing through May 1, 2020 at 5:00 pm, all assemblages of more than 10 people in a single indoor shared space and all events of more than 10 people are prohibited in this state. A single indoor shared space includes but is not limited to a room, hall, cafeteria, auditorium, theater, or gallery.
