CHESTER, Ms. Shanney Joye - age 66, passed away, Friday, July 5, 2020 at McLaren Hospital Oakland. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday July 18, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Bro. Willie Vaughn, Officiating. Family and Friends will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Saturday. Ms. Chester will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-6PM Friday. Ms. Chester leaves to cherish her memory, children, Evelyn F. McAllister of Phoenix, AZ and Carlos Chester of Pontiac, MI; grandchildren, Christopher Malik Knight, Jermaine Kareem Jones, Jr., Leviticus Duke Jamar Chester, Cameron Maurice Chester and Frederick D’Angelo McAllister IV; great grandchildren, Amaria M. Knight; aunts, Ida Bullock, Dorothy Henderson, Ruby Cooper (Gary) and Rosie Yeselsky (Fred); and a host of cousins and other relatives. Ms. Chester was preceded in death by her mother, Frankie Chester; grandmother, Channie Lee Johnson; and uncles, Frank “Nitty” Chester and Stanley Chester. At Lawrence E. Beginning on April 10, 2020 at 9:00 am, and Continuing Until Further Notices. All assemblages of more than 10 people in a single indoor shared space and all events of more than 10 people are prohibited in this state. A single indoor shared space includes but is not limited to a room, hall, cafeteria, auditorium, theater, or gallery.
