JACKSON, Mrs. Voronica "Roni" - age 53, passed away, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at St. Clair Hospital of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Family hour 11:30 AM Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 299 Bagley Street, with funeral service commencing immediately at Noon. Bishop Kenneth Anthony, Eulogist Pastor Robert Martin, Host Pastor. Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:30 AM Thursday. Ms. Jackson will lie in state in the Chapel of the Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday. Ms. Voronica Rechelle “Roni” Jackson was born October 12, 1962 in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of Bruce Mullen and Corine V. Randolph Turner. Voronica was a resident of Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Pontiac Northern High School in 1980, while at Pontiac Northern, she was a star basketball player. After graduation she went on to further her education at Alpena College and played basketball for the “Lady Jacks.” Voronica was an avid bowler, softball player and sports fanatic. She was employed for twenty plus years at Huron Valley Hospital and later Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. She enjoyed traveling and most of all her family. Ms. Jackson leaves to cherish her memory: two sons, Marcell Antoine Jackson (Casey Wolowicz) and Demetrius M. Jackson, Sr. (Samantha Petersen); grandchildren, La’Nayah R. Jackson, Caleb Jackson, Kaeden Petersen-Jackson, Layla R. Jackson, Demetrius M. Jackson Jr; two sisters, Denise Michelle (Ernest) Yarbo and Tara Doreen Mullen; brother, Eric Bernard (Julie) Mullen; six nieces, Tameka Mullen, Kenyatta Jiles, Sabre (Eugene) Carter, Kie’Ara Mullen, Erica Mullen and Bethney Owens; five nephews, Ramonne Brown, Jeremy Mullen, A’vontae Mullen, Terron “Bill” White, Josh Owens; mother-in-law, Hazel Arnold of Atlanta, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Amy Gardiner and Lisa Ewing. Ms. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Jackson Sr.; son, Everett Jackson Jr.; grandson, Everett Jackson III; father, Bruce Mullen. The family would like to express special thanks to Rev.
