JOHNSON, Mr. Walter Lee Sr. "Walt J" - age 68, passed away, Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, October 3, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry Street with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Interment Perry Mt. Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Johnson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from Noon – 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Johnson leaves to cherish his memory, children, Kamisha “Shay” Williams, Umecca “Mecca” Cowart, Walter L. “Span” Johnson, Jr., Lee Tige, Steven (Nicole) Tige, Jasmine Johnson, Parree “P” Latricee Johnson, Remi Johnson and Sean Johnson; mother, Ruth Wilson; grandchildren, Armani Jones, Maji Johnson and Makhi Johnson, Lee Tige, II, Sean Johnson, II, Ana Tige and Ella Tige, Krysean Johnson, Remi Johnson, II, Cayden Brown, Aquil Johnson, Summer Tige and Emmarie Dunbar; siblings, Joyce Johnson and Billie Jean Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his father, Archie Lee Johnson; brothers, Louis Johnson and Ricky Kimble. At Lawrence E. Beginning on April 10, 2020 at 9:00 am, and Continuing Until Further Notices. All assemblages of more than 10 people in a single indoor shared space and all events of more than 10 people are prohibited in this state. A single indoor shared space includes but is not limited to a room, hall, cafeteria, auditorium, theater, or gallery.
