William Robert "Bill" Hunt, Sr.

HUNT, Mr. William Robert "Bill" Sr. - age 81, passed away, Friday, September 18, 2015 at his residence. Family hour 10:00 AM Saturday, September, 26, 2015 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00 AM. Pastor Llewelyn Jones, Officiating. Interment Hillview Memorial Gardens, Andersonville Road, Clarkston, Michigan Zip 48346. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Hunt, Sr. will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1:00PM - 8:00PM Friday. Mr. William Robert Hunt Sr. was born May 16, 1934 in Greensville, South Carolina, the son of James and Annie Mae Hunt. He was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Ora Elizabeth Evans on July 11, 1950. On the evening of Friday September 18, 2015, William heard the sweet whisper of the Lord “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand,” and he followed our heavenly father home. William worked for General Motors for thirty years and retired in 1996. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing and landscaping. William was a member of the St. Stephens Chapter #7 Masons. He enjoyed talking and laughing with his family, whether he was telling you off or cracking jokes. He genuinely loved us all. His laughter brought smiles to many and our father will be greatly missed. Mr. Hunt leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Ella Marie (Carl) Byas of Pontiac, MI, Maryann Yvette Hunt of Louisville, KY; and Ayana Niko (Frederick) Causey of Fort Worth, TX; four sons, William Robert Hunt Jr. of Greensville, SC, Larry Terrance Hunt of Waterford, MI, Dexter Marcus (Denise) Hunt of Detroit, MI and Kerry Dale Hunt of Pontiac, MI; step son, James Looper of Greensville, SC; fifty grandchildren; sixty five great grandchildren; aunt, Nancy B. Louris of Pontiac; uncle, Rev. Thomas Hunt of Greensville, SC; six sisters-in-law, Annie Dickenson of Cleveland, OH, Eunice Evans of Battle Creek, MI, Rosie Beard of Pontiac, MI, Betty Ross of Atlanta, GA, Georgia Forbes Battle Creek, MI, Mary Alice Hunt of Pontiac, MI; three brothers-in-law, Robert Evans of Battle Creek, MI, Tommy Evans of Kalamazoo, MI, Willie Evans of Temecula, CA; special cousin, Essie Mae Jenkins of Greensville, SC and a host of other numerous relatives and friends. .
