BENSON, Mr. Eddie L. - age 93, passed away, Saturday, April 3, 2021 at his residence. Family hour 10:30AM Tuesday, April 13, 2021, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Pastor Timothy Lawrence, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30AM Tuesday. Mr. Benson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12Noon-6PM Monday. Mr. Benson leaves to cherish his memory: children, Charles (Dorothy) Benson, Kit (Denise) Walk, Evelyn Benson, Carol (Michael) Mitchell, Sheila (Charles) Smith, Regina (Jerry) Hawkins, Vicky Benson; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mr. Benson was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Marie Benson; grandson, Charles Michael Smith; parents, Willie and Annie Bell Benson; sister, Thelma Peete; and brother, Richard Davis.
