WASHINGTON, Ms. Evonne – age 85, passed away, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, with funeral commencing immediately at 11:00 AM. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and Pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Saturday. Ms. Washington will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from Noon – 6:00 PM Friday. Ms. Washington leaves to cherish her memory, children, Virginia Early, Calvin Washington, Carolyn Laurent, Darlene (Jerry) Peterson, Anderson Washington and Donald (Lavonia) Washington; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Earnestine Wyatt and other relatives and friends. Ms. Washington was preceded in death by her parents, Adeline and Manuel Watkins; siblings, Nathaniel and Doreatha Watkins, Doreatha Winfield, Bobby Watkins, Cornelius, Bernard and Darlene Watkins, Manuel Watkins, Jr and Mae Francis McGee.
