THOMAS, Mr. Frederick "Freddy" Douglas Jr., age 18 - passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Family hour 10:30AM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11:00 AM. Bishop William H. Murphy, Jr. Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Wednesday. Mr. Thomas, Jr. will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 12 Noon – 6:00 PM Tuesday. Frederick Douglas Thomas, Jr. was born January 15, 2002 in Pontiac, Michigan to Doris Royal and Frederick Thomas, Sr. Frederick, affectionately known as Freddy, was known for his kind, gentle and fun personality, as seen in his actions towards others. He always greeted people with a huge smile and always had a positive attitude. Freddy leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Doris Royal and Frederick Thomas, Sr.; his siblings DaKarrea Lewis and Dionjana Harris from Pontiac, MI, Monica Thomas from Memphis TN, and Porter Cole-Thomas from Pontiac, MI. He is also survived by his grandparents, Gloria Thomas and Harold Harris from Pontiac, MI; special cousins Ky’Juan Johnson from Pontiac, MI, Preston Thomas, III, Jada Thomas, and Grace Thomas from Farmington Hills, MI; and many other family members and friends. Freddy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Honorable Judge Preston Thomas; grandmother, Kimberly Royal; as well as his great-aunt, Enid McKinney.
