HUMPHREYS, Mr. George – age 82, passed away, Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Ascension Providence Rochester Campus. Family hour 11:30 AM Friday, April 22, 2022 at Welcome Missionary Baptist Church, 143 Oneida Street., with funeral service commencing immediately at Noon. Pastor Douglas P. Jones, Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:30AM Friday. Mr. Humphreys will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, and may be viewed from Noon-6:00PM Thursday. Mr. Humphreys leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Dorothy A. Humphreys; son, Gregory (Michelle) Humphreys; granddaughter, Brianna Humphreys; sister, Rosie Williams and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Humphreys was preceded in death by his parents, Fannie and Elijah Humphries; and siblings, Eugene Harris, John L. Humphries and Ruby Hampton.
