CARSON-COOLEY, Mrs. Margaret Lee - age 99, passed away, Sunday, April 5, 2020 at her residence. Family hour 10:30AM Friday, April 17, 2020 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry Street, with funeral commencing immediately at 11:00 AM. Pastor Alfred Johnson, Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and Pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Friday. Mrs. Carson-Cooley will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from Noon – 6:00 PM Thursday. Mrs. Carson-Cooley leaves to cherish her legacy daughter, Delois McMillan; step-son, Keith Cooley; grandchildren, Felicia Conley, Arthur Smith, Jr. and Selina Smith (Jeffrey Chambers); great grandchildren, Kiuwha (Xavier) Scott-Bonds, Jabria Conley, DeShawna (Eric) McCants-Leach, Arthur Smith III, Shana Smith, Darry Smith, Tyree Smith, Fatine Williams, Neica Williams; a host great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren; siblings, Jerome (Judy) Bradford, Effie Robinson and Cassandia Bradford; and a host of nieces, nephews and other other numerous relatives and friends; God Son, Rev. Christopher (Angie) Kirkland, III; God daughter, Shelba (Walter) Frazier; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including special cousins, Linetta (Glass) Hatcher, Pearl (Glass) Allen, Lillian (Glass) Hunter, Anne (Glass) Anthony, Augustus Glass. Mrs. Carson-Cooley was preceded in death her husband, Dr. Roy V. Cooley; granddaughter, Valerie Lynette Smith; great grandchildren, J'aqhay and Janeen Conley; parents, Marshall (Alberta) Bradford and Bashie (Glass) Bradford; grandfather, Willis Glass; best friends, Lillian (Harber) Glass and Dr. (Linetta) Roberts. The Executive Order is as follows: Acting under the Michigan Constitution of 1963 and Michigan law, I order the following: 1. Beginning on April 10, 2020 at 9:00 am, and continuing through May 1, 2020 at 5:00 pm, all assemblages of more than 10 people in a single indoor shared space and all events of more than 10 people are prohibited in this state. A single indoor shared space includes but is not limited to a room, hall, cafeteria, auditorium, theater, or gallery.
