CORLEY, Mr. Solomon Jr. “Skipper” “PaPa” – age 73, passed away, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family hour 10:00AM Friday, April 15, 2022 at the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, with funeral commencing immediately at 11:00AM. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 North Belford Road. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:00AM Friday. Mr. Corley, Jr. will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM Friday. Mr. Corley, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory children, Solomon A. (Nichole) Corley, Irene Corley, Mary (Larry) Corley-Bobo, Sherry Gatson, John Gatson and Angela (Antonio) Williams; grandchildren, Qualesha Corley, Solomon Corley, II, Jatina and JaKresha Cottingham; loving companion, Aldora F. Gatson; a host of great-grandchildren; siblings, Jewel (James) Corley-Shelton, Clyde Corley and Aleta Young; and other relatives and friends. Mr. Corley was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Corley; parents, Juanita and Solomon Corley, Sr; siblings, Walter Corley, Lillie Ellison and Hawatha Corley.
