JACKSON, Mr. Walter J – age 77, passed away, Monday, March 1, 2021 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Oakland. Family hour 1:30PM Saturday, March 6, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 North Perry Street, with funeral commencing immediately at 2:00PM. Deacon John Hall, officiating. Interment Perry Mt. Park Cemetery 878 North Perry Street. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home 1:30PM Saturday. Mr. Jackson will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00PM - 6:00PM Friday. Mr. Jackson leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Walter (Tharessa) Jackson, Dawayne Jackson and Treniece Jackson; grandchildren, Walter Jr., Adrian, DeAndre, Tonjanique, Tyesha, Tavia, Daven, Raven and Tashauna; a host of great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Karen) Jackson; two special nieces, Martha Duvall and Linda Robinson; and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and host of friends. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora; brother, Williams Jackson; sister, Johnnie Mae (James) Hall; and parents, James and Hattie Jackson.
