ELLISON, Mrs. Aldean "Deany" - age 53, passed away, Saturday, June 2, 2012 at McLaren Oakland Hospital. Family hour 10:30AM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Monument of Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 378 Auburn Ave.,with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor James H. Keys, Sr., officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St., Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Tuesday. Mrs. Ellison will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, and may be viewed from 1PM-8PM Monday. Mrs. Ellison leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Alonzo Ellison; children, Pamela Shelton, Larry and Rodney Shelton all of Pontiac, MI; stepdaughter, Tammara Ellison of Flint, MI; grandchildren, Latifah Manns, Darren, Darrell, Dariuse McGowan, DaQuatta Shelton, Breeze and Arbe Henke, Essance Shelton, Arele Jordan, Eriana Teasley, Andrew Allen, Tatiana, Anaz’jah, Damarrea and Jamarea Shelton; great grandchildren, Macari and Myron Robinson, Caden Taylor, Jessiah Hatcher and Heaven McGowan; father, Johnnie Shelton; sisters, Irene Parker of FL, Nellie (Jesse) Jordan, Evelisha, Jacqueline Shelton, Lavonna (Shaye) Bender, Sandy and Sheila Shelton of Pontiac, MI; brothers, Ebbie, Stevie, Keith and Anthony Shelton all of Pontiac, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; sister- in-laws, Yvonne Horton and Tracy Horton; brother-in-laws, Jesse Jordan, Shaye Bender, Maurice Ellison, Danny and Daniel Horton; and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Karen Wilson, Christine Murphy and Lonnie Watkins. Mrs. Ellison was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Shelton; grandparents, Houston and Magnolia Myles, Evelyn and Walter Shelton; sisters, Sharmaine Dixon and Marilyn Jones; brothers, Johnnie Jr., Larry and Delray Shelton; and sister-in-law, Sharon Horton. Aldean "Deany" Ellison was born March 29, 1959 in Pontiac, Michigan, to the union of Johnnie Shelton and the the late Annie Shelton. She departed this life on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Aldean was educated in the Pontiac School System. She was a very loving and caring person to all who knew her and those who got to know her. She enjoyed playing cards and spending a lot of time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. During her final days, she shared lots of smiles and laughter with her family. Aldean taught people how to love one another.
