WHITE, Mrs. Ardean S. "MaDear" - age 89; transitioned Sunday September 5, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. White leaves many love ones to cherish her memories: two daughters, Brunette Johnson of Portland OR, Cornelia “Poochie” (Eddie) Johnson Sr. of Pontiac, MI; two sons, Leonard (Martha) White Jr., Ronney (Linda) White of GA; two sisters, Zelma and Cornelia; one brother, Osmond all of Portland, OR; ten grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family hour 10:00AM Saturday September 11, 2010 at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 119-123 Wessen St., with funeral service commencing at 11AM. Dr. Drew E. Marshall, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00AM Saturday. Mrs. White will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 3-7PM Friday. Sister Ardean S. White was born November 9, 1920 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, the daughter of Lillian and Jefferson Richardson. Ardean "MaDear" was the sixth child of her siblings. In 1938, she was married to the late Leonard White Sr. To this union six children were born. "MaDear" accepted Christ at an early age. She was baptized and became a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Cornelius Johnson. She was the Church Secretary for many years, and took her beliefs in Christ very seriously. Sister White attended Sunday School Services regularly. She was a housewife, mother, school bus driver, and farmer. She enjoyed reading, life, family, and nature specifically when the seasons changed. MaDear released her spirit and soul to return to God after a brief illness. She was eighty-nine years old and she did not complain. Sister Ardean S. White leaves to cherish her memory: four children, Leonard (Martha) White Jr., Brunetta "Chetta" (Edward) Johnson, Cornelia "Poochie" (Eddie B.) Johnson Sr., Ronney (Linda) White; eight grandchildren, Kathy White, Patrice Johnson, Edward Johnson, Kim (Lloyd) Durham, Kanique (Milton) McLarahmore, Ronney (Leatrice) Johnson, Eddie B.(Cami) Johnson Jr., Ken White; seven great grand-children, Blake Johnson, Folayan Williams, Brieanna Johnson, Karimah Williams, Brooke Johnson, Kelsi and Madison McLarahmore; two sisters, Zelma Scarbarough and Cornelia Montgomery; one brother, Osmond "O.D." Richardson; and a host of other relatives and family. Sister Ardean S. White was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard White Sr.; sons, Alvin and Calvin White; and parents, Lillian and Jefferson Richardson.
