GREENE, Mr. Carlos Lee Jr. "Lil Carlos" - age 38, passed away, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Henry Ford Hospital - Detroit. Family hour 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Church, 14 East Judson Street, with funeral service commencing immediately at 12:00 Noon. District Elder Ramon B. Rogers, Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 North Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 11:00 AM Saturday. Mr. Greene, Jr. will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday. Mr. Carlos Lee Greene Jr., a.k.a "Lil Carlos" joyfully entered the world on June 1, 1978 to the union of Carlos Lee Greene Sr. & Yasmine Sheree Greene in Pontiac, Michigan. "Baby C", lovingly coined by his late Uncle Thomas, was a curly-haired happy boy who grew up loving Michael Jackson and He-man. Lil Carlos was loved and adored by so many. To us as his parents he was and still is the joy of our lives. Lil Carlos loved his parents deeply. All he wanted to do was please them. From energetically helping his parents with chores, to spray-painting his daddy's car "Daddy, come here. Look what I did for you." He was filled with love and gratitude. It was Lil Carlos who initiated the phrase "my mama" and "my daddy" which his siblings still lovingly calls us to this day. He was the protector of his sisters and brothers, and saw himself as the matriarch of the family; the advice-giver and "put you in your place" big brother. A loving father who loved his children unconditionally, and beyond measure. Lil Carlos graduated Brady Elementary School, Emerson Middle School, and earned his GED. He owned and operated Carlos's Rolling Sandwiches Food Cart in Detroit, MI. He leaves to cherish; his parents, Carlos L. Greene, Sr. and Yasmine S. Greene; daughters, Camika Charmella Caudle of Brooklyn, NY and Ariyanna Lee-Ann Greene of Detroit, MI; brothers, Devin D'Arcy Greene of Lawrenceville, GA, Billy Brown of Pontiac, MI; sisters, Tai'Sheree Wallace (Zack) of Lawerenceville, GA, Shiheeda Greene of Dearborn, MI, and Jasmine Greene of Brooklyn, NY; his fiancé, Pandora Hanshaw; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He departed this earth on October 20, 2016 at Henry Ford Hospital. Lil Carlos was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl Thomas and Berthela Greene, Helen Smith and Jethro Woolfolk; uncles, Thomas T. Greene, Ronnie Greene Sr.; niece, Shaydence D. Soward; brothers/cousins, Raymond Brown and Tyron Brown; aunt, Virginia Earlene Brown.
