Frank McKenzie

MCKENZIE, Mr. Frank Leonard Jr. - Age 50, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at his residence. Family hour 9:00a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2009 at Grace Gospel Fellowship, 210 North Perry St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11a.m. Pastor Kent W. Clark, officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the church 9:00a.m. Tuesday. Mr. McKenzie will lie in state at Grace Gospel Fellowship, 210 North Perry St., and may be viewed from 9a.m. to the time of service. Frank Leonard McKenzie, Jr. was born December 23, 1958, in Tampa Florida the son of Frank Leonard Mckenzie, Sr and the late Phyllis Cornelia McKenzie. Frank was an amazing man. He had a style that no other man can and will ever posses. At a young age, he was a father figure, supporter and protector of all his siblings. He had a unique love for life and those he surrounded himself with. Frank was a truck driver, carpenter and a man of quality. His interests were music, rainy days and the tranquility of being near water. He was a devoted father, and nurturing grandfather to all of his children. Mr. McKenzie, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife, Damia McKenzie; four daughters, Misty, Crystal, Charlotte and Marsha; two sons, Alonzo and Donald; five step-children, Jasmine, Deloria, Herbert, Jeriah and Shania; eleven grandchildren, Anna, Marcus, Kelvin, Justin, Quentin, Darrius, Emme’ Lee, Jasmine, Justine, Jaylynn, Jennifer and (expecting two new additions); also expecting one great grandchild; father, Frank Leonard McKenzie Sr.; three sisters, Rudine (Mark) Gillery, Darlene "Doll" Donnell and Yvonne Harris; three brothers, Roger, Edwin "Eddie" and Corey McKenzie; mother- in-law, JoAnn Robinson; brother-in-law, Gerald Allen, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins other relatives and friends including special friends, Michelle Moore, Virginia "Jenny" Marshall (Mother of Misty and Crystal). Mr. McKenzie, Jr. was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis McKenzie; and brother, Troy McKenzie. The family would like to express special thanks to Grace Centers of Hope Pastor and Mrs. Kent W. Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Darin Weiss.
