Hasen Jamal Cain, Sr.

CAIN, Mr. Hasen Jamal Sr. - Age 39, passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016. Family hour 10:30AM Wednesday August 3, 2016 at Welcome Missionary Baptist Church, 143 Oneida St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor Douglas P. Jones, Officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Wednesday. Mr. Cain will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 2-8:00PM Tuesday. Mr. Hasen Jamal Cain Sr. was born October 16, 1976 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana the son of Sarah J. Carroll and Charles Cain. Hasen accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Welcome Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and studied his Bible often, and sharing the goodness of God. After his family relocated to Michigan in 1979, Hasen attended Pontiac Schools where he received his GED. He later went on to earn his Barber License. He was employed by DSG Staffing where he worked for Fuyao Glass Company. He was a loyal, dependable and dedicated employee, which lead him to being promoted to a line supervisor. He loved spending time with his children, family and friends. His favorite pass time was in the kitchen experimenting on new dishes. Hasen will be truly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Cain leaves to cherish his memory: children, Hasen Jamal Cain Jr., Warren Cain, Kyla Cain, Adelita Layis Moran, Aiyonna Hogan of Pontiac, MI; parents, Sarah Carroll of Las Vegas, NV and Charles Cain of McComb, MS; step-mother, Gloria Webber; four sisters, Avonda (Rev. Therman) Cogdell, Erika Webber, Ketrenna Hackett, Tamar (John) Steverson; three brothers, Dion Webber, Derrick (Susana) Webber, Jason (Christal) Webber; twenty-four nieces including, Monique, Kimberly, Connie, Brooke, Ka’Terrica, Amari, DaLiyah, Aaryia and Kanei; six nephews including, Terryon; aunt, Barbara Carroll; four uncles, Charles Carroll, James Carroll, Jackie Carroll and Murray Carroll; and a host of other relatives and friends including special friends, Stevie Williams, George Hooper, Elizabeth Henry, Duwayne “XL” Mays, Diop Dawkins. Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Velma Carroll and Irene Cain; step-father, Julius Webber.
