GARRISON, Mr. Kevin Dominique "Lil Kev" - Age 20, passed away Thursday, November 25, 2010 . Family hour 10:30AM Saturday, December 4, 2010 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 394 Howland Avenue with funeral service commencing immediately at 11AM. Pastor Solomon Smith, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30AM Saturday. Mr. Garrison will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 3PM-8PM Friday. Mr. Kevin Dominique Garrison was born to proud parents, Sherry Walls and Kevin M. Garrison on December 19, 1989 in Pontiac, Michigan, and left this world to be with the Lord on Thursday November 25, 2010. Kevin was educated in the Pontiac and Lake Orion School Systems. He was a very loving young man who cherished his family. Kevin was excellent in sports, including football, basketball and boxing, for which he was awarded a trophy. He recognized a special talent with his hands and aspired to be a contractor and build custom homes. Kevin will be remembered by his family for his fun loving spirit, practical joking with his siblings and friends, and his unique sense of humor. Throughout his short life, Kevin faced every challenge with a spirit of determination coupled with strength and perseverance. While Kevin’s sudden transition has left the family with a deep sense of sorrow, we realize that we too must cross this road. Yet we are confident and rejoice in God’s promise that we shall meet him again in glory. Kevin leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Amarrah E. Garrison; mother, Sherry Walls; father Kevin M. (Vanessa) Garrison; grandparents, Everette (Jeanette) Mitchell of Memphis, TN, Bobbie Mitchell, Pastor Solomon (Leona) Smith Sr., Elizabeth Garrison; sister, Jada C. Garrison; brother, Breon J. Jones; Mario Miller all of Pontiac; a host of other relatives and friends and special acknowledgements to Uncle Terry Walls, Katrina Beard of Pontiac, MI, Marsha Creelman, Janelle and Madison Mancini all of Lake Orion, MI; and Charlie Creelman of Jacksonville, FL; and Ms. Oral Moore and family of Pontiac. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mathew Garrison and; sister, Taylor Walls. The family would like to express special thanks to the City of Pontiac Fire Department and Union Local 376 and the Southfield Fire Department.
