GAMBLE, Ms. Latoya Monique "Nikki" - age 31, passed away, Thursday, February 18, 2016. Family hour 10:00AM Saturday February 27, 2016 at Door of Faith Christian Church, 511 S. Sanford St., with funeral service commencing immediately at 10:30AM. Pastor Earl O. Crump, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N. Perry St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:00AM Saturday. Ms. Gamble will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from 2:00-8:00PM Friday. Ms. LaToya Monique Gamble was born November 27, 1984 in Pontiac, Michigan to the union of Bryan and Theresa Gamble. She confessed Christ Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the DOOR OF FAITH Christian Church under Pastor Earl O. Crump. LaToya was a loving, kind, and respectable young lady. LaToya was known to her family as “Nikki”, but was also known as “Toya” by her friends. She liked babysitting her nieces and nephews and helping out her grandmother. She also helped in caring for other family members and her friend’s kids just as her own. Nikki was the type of person that if you ever needed her for anything, even a last minute hair appointment, she always put her best foot forward. Nikki always wanted to make everyone around her happy with the works of her hands. She attended Pontiac Northern High School and completed her Phlebotomy Certificate at Job Corps and hairdressing. Ms. Gamble leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Alex Monroe and Isaiah Wylie; parents, Bryan and Theresa Gamble Sr.; grandmother, Loretta Gamble; two sisters, NaTasha Gamble and LaKendra (Isaiah) Leopaul; brother, Bryan Gamble Jr.; three nieces, DaNasia Gamble, Mikayla Leopaul and A'Niya Amos; four nephews, Darryl Gamble, Rubin Jareem Crayton, Bryan Gamble III, Jace Gamble; aunts, Earnestine (Pastor Earl O.) Crump, Marie (Brady) Williams, Jackie (William) Miller, Luwana (James) Dodson, Lisa Gamble; uncles, Eddie (Vicki) Dixon, Floyd (Donna) Dixon, Michael (Danita) Dixon, Melvin Dixon, Frankie (Julie) Dixon, Carl (Kim) Dixon, Chauncey (Theresa) Gamble and Thomas Gamble Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends. Ms. Gamble was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Gamble; grandparents, Eddie and Birdette Dixon and Thomas Gamble Sr.; uncle, Shawn Gamble Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to William and Jackie Monroe, Timothy and Bethany Wylie, Aydreain Spann and James Macffee.
