Tanya Boss" Outlaw

OUTLAW, Ms. Tanya "The Boss" - Age 52 passed away Saturday October 8, 2011 at her residence. Family hour 10:00AM Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 599 Michigan Ave., with funeral service commencing at 11:00AM. Pastor Jerry Love, officiating. Interment Perry Mount Park Cemetery, 878 N Perry Street. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at church at 10:00AM Saturday. Ms. Outlaw will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 268 N. Perry St., and may be viewed from Noon-8PM Friday. Ms.Tanya Lenise Outlaw was born September 27, 1959 in Centralia, Illnois, the daughter of Harold Outlaw Sr. and Faye Flagg-Scott. Tanya received Christ at an early age, and for many years attended New Mt. Moriah International Church, and later visiting New Experience Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Centralia High School "Class of 1977." She later relocated to Pontiac, Michigan in 1988. She soon gained employment in 1989, with St. Joseph Mercy-Oakland and remained there until her passing. Tanya enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but her greatest joy was time spent with her granddaughter, London and "Faye Baby" her Mama. She loved to cook, dance and make people laugh, but her speciality was bossing you around and making you like it! Ms. Outlaw leaves to cherish her memory: Jermaine (Sherri) Outlaw; grandchildren, London Outlaw of Pontiac, Jimmy and Terry Oliver, Eric and Lathaniel Love; great-grandchildren, Tayshawn Anasha, Oscar Jr.; mother, Faye Scott; sisters, Rev. Andrea C. Friend of Pontiac, MI, Kelley M. (Terry) Hill of Jonesboro, Shelia Outlaw of Evansville, IN; brothers, Harold S. Outlaw of Houston, TX, Harold E. Outlaw Jr. of Evansville, IN; nieces, Camia O’Neal, Maryum Outlaw, Joy Jefferson; nephews, Jamel O’Neal, Kevin Shedd, Hussan Outlaw; uncles, Jim (Patricia) and Al Frank Flagg; and a host of other relatives and family and special friends, Ms. Deronda Clark, The Gardner Family, Charlene Wellons, Otis Bryant and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Staff, Marisa and Karen Clark of Las Vegas, NV. Ms. Outlaw was preceded in death by her grandson, Jermaine Outlaw Jr.; father, Harold Outlaw Sr.; step-father, Willie Scott; grandparents, Julius (Enda) Flagg Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Loney Outlaw.
